Different Words Mean Different Things
The word thug isn't always bad. As my picture shows it can mean good too. So when using this word make sure you use it right.. =P

Bread With Mrs King
Nothings better than bread straight out of the oven. Today we had the opportunity of tasting school made bread hot and fresh from the oven. Momma King came in and gave us the instructions to make the bread.
It was really fun making the mix but the boring bit was waiting for the yeast to rise. Luckily for me and Ana, (my partner), we sped up the time and put our mix in front of the heater. (Cheaters much) and then we added the rest of the mix and got dirty.... in flour. Well, only because we started kneading the bread.
Other than waiting for our breads to bake, kneading would've had to be the 1 thing that made me most tired. On behalf of me and Ana I would like to thank Mama King for coming into school today and teaching us how to make bread. Thank You Very MUUUUCCCHHHH.. :)

The Heart Attack Grill Argument
I drew this picture with my left hand. (Was quite hard)
Room15 strongly believes that the heart attack grill should not operate in Glen Innes. If The Heart Attack Grill sold in GI, the obesity problem would increase in GI.
Super morbidly obese people will eat at The Heart Attack Grill and will eventually become sick and die probably of pneumonia. When Jon Basso sells his food he says, "It will kill you", and then gives it to you. So he practically kills people slowly. The spokes model for The Heart Attack Grill dies from pneumonia at a young age. He could have survived if he hadn't have eaten all that fatty food.
What makes it worse, is that people over 150kilos get to eat for free. They can get whatever they want whenever they want. Single, double, triple and quadruple bypass are the names of their burgers and no doubt that these burgers will mean people have to have more of these surgeries.
The food at The Heart Attack Grill is unacceptable to be even sold in the USA, let alone in beautiful NZ. The lard used to cook the unlimited fries is animal fat and is more unhealthy than vegetable fats.
If bringing the Heart Attack Grill to Auckland meant more jobs for the community and more money - does this give enough of a reason to make this a positive idea?
I believe that even though there will be more jobs available, I don't think that the Heart Attack Grill should sell in GI - if only for one reason - FAT!

That Power
WILL.I.AMs latest hit (That Power) is one inspirational song. When I was reading the lyrics, I didn't realize that the song was about trying your best to achieve in life with not the best surroundings.
For instance: Will.i.am didn't grow up in one of the richest suburbs in the world. He lived in the projects which are government owned houses. (Just like my suburb Glen Innes). But here he is now as a world known pop artist. From poorly supported environments you can still go places in your life if you keep on trying. Just like WILL.I.AM.
'That power', the title of his latest song, I believe describes that power you can have to make the world a much better place. "If you want to invent the next iPhone do it nobodies gonna stop you!", he quoted. (Or something like that)
He donated an amazing amount of money to the Manaiakalani Cluster. I couldn't even believe it my self. 100,00 DOOOOLLLLLLAAAAARRRRRSSSS!!! Seeing him was one thing but performing for him was another. When our school found out that he was coming, most of us didn't believe that. he was coming to GI or even Pt.England School? I found it quite weird he would come to my school instead of a rich school. But then I heard his life story and figured out why he came. He grew up in a place just like Glen Innes. But in east California. He told us that if you have a dream you would like to pursue don't let anybody stop you from reaching your dream. I would like to thank the man him self WILL.I.AM for donating this enormous amount of money.
Anyway performing infront of Will.i.am put this enormous amount of weight on my shoulders. !st of all was because I was a little star struck, and second of all was because he probably never seen a kapa haka performance ever. So I had to do it with kaha and mana. Which was had because I was soo sooo sooo sooo hungry. And a little bit nervous. You know how it is.
It sucks that I didn't get to meet him in person but if I did the first thing I would say would probably be, "Kia ora, ko Tyla taku ingoa. Ko wai to ingoa. Kei hea to koutou o Black eyed Peas" really really fast or, "Hi".
